Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were both among the top 30 players for the Ballon d’Or on Monday night.
The 2023 Ballon d’Or draw is currently underway and is expected to feature some of the biggest names in European football, including Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland, both of whom are vying for this year’s trophy.
After struggling with Man City in the 2022/23 season, Arsenal failed to win the Premier League title, with Odegaard and Saka standing out throughout the season.
Both finished ahead of City’s Ruben Dias, who finished 30th, with Odegaard tied for 28th with Randal Kolo Muani, while Saka finished 24th.
FC Bayern Munich’s 20-year-old young star Jamal Musiala, also a target of Pep Guardiola, came 26th, while Josko Gvardiol, who had a standout performance at the World Cup in Qatar, came 25th.
Next came Saka, who scored 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions last season and played a key role in Arsenal’s title hunt.
