Garbage service was suspended in the town of Cyril on Thursday as police searched for “leads” and a truck was towed from the Adams home on Thursday night following the carer’s arrest.
Neighbors told local broadcaster KFOR that they had not seen Alysia since last Thursday.
They noticed a children’s tricycle in the middle of the road, which they thought was strange, but neither Athena nor her sister saw it.
On Thursday, Adams was sent to the county jail for child neglect.
Still no sign of Athena. Adam’s husband was not arrested.
It remains unclear why the girls were taken into Adam’s care and if there were other children living in the home.
Part of the police investigation is to determine where Athena’s birth parents are and if they have anything to do with her disappearance, authorities said yesterday.
“Right now, our top priority is to track them down and find out who is next to blame.

“But we have to find this little girl,” said Brook Arbeitsman, a spokesman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Athena’s five-year-old sister, whose name was not released, was not in need of medical attention when she was found.
She is now in state custody.
The postal worker told police he quickly realized the child “wasn’t where it was supposed to be.”
When he reported finding her, authorities launched an investigation and found that Athena was missing.
It’s unclear if Adams or her husband were in the house at the time.
