Behind an ailing Travis Kelce – and with Taylor Swift once again in attendance – the Chiefs defeated the Broncos 19-8 on Thursday Night Football.
After injuring his ankle last weekend with the Vikings, it was questionable whether Kelce would be able to compete in this divisional matchup.
But the tight end fought through the pain and led Kansas City with nine catches and 124 receiving yards — leaving his new friend plenty to cheer about.
His quarterback Patrick Mahomes had 306 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception, completing 75 percent of his passes.
The win moved the defending champion Chiefs to 5-1, while the Broncos moved to 1-5.

Kansas City never trailed in this game as it went into halftime 13-0 and stayed strong in the second half.
While it was a strong night for Kelce, it was a night to remember for Russell Wilson and the Broncos’ offense.
The quarterback threw for just 94 yards and was picked off twice as Denver didn’t score a touchdown until the fourth quarter.
But the mood was brighter for the home team as Swift and Brittany Mahomes – Patrick’s wife – embraced as their significant others combined for a 19-yard gain in the first half.
