The Duke of Sussex’s bombshell book reveals the names the warring brothers use to refer to one another

Princes Harry and William refer to each other as ‘Willy’ and ‘Harold’, it was revealed today after a leaked copy of the Duke of Sussex’s memoir.
The revelation was made in an extraordinary passage from Harry’s forthcoming autobiography, Spare, in which he recalled the moment he was physically assaulted by his sibling.
It comes days after royal insiders said Harry’s book cut his brother off so much that the couple may not be able to reconcile their differences after its release.
The furious row reportedly broke out at his London home in 2019, during which William, now the Prince of Wales, is said to have branded Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”.

The revelation was made in an extraordinary passage from Harry’s forthcoming autobiography, Spare
Harry accused his brother of parroting “the press narrative” about his wife before a screaming fight that ended in a physical altercation.
The extract was published by the Guardian. It is unknown how the newspaper obtained an early edition of the book, as the publisher went to great lengths to prevent any leakage.
In a dramatic excerpt, Harry writes that William ‘grabbed me by the collar, tore my necklace and…threw me to the ground’. The Duke of Sussex claims he suffered a visible injury to his back.
According to Harry, the brothers had met at Nottingham Cottage to discuss ‘the whole rolling disaster’ of their relationship and battles with the press.
When they started arguing about Meghan, Harry claims William wasn’t being rational, which led to a screaming match.
The Duke of Sussex claims he gave his brother a glass of water and told him: “Willy, I can’t speak to you when you’re like this.”
He writes: “He turned off the water, called me another name and then approached me. Everything happened so fast. So very quickly. He grabbed my collar, broke my chain and threw me to the ground.
“I landed on the dog’s bowl, which broke under my back and the pieces cut into me. I lay there dazed for a moment, then got up and told him to get out.’
It was then that William told his brother to hit him back, a reference to scraps they had as children, Harry writes.
