Elvis with Austin Butler will be screened for free in 10 cities to commemorate the late singer’s 88th birthday
The current film Elvis, starring Austin Butler, will be screened for free in 10 cities across North America on January 8th, the birthday of the King of Rock and Roll.
To commemorate the life and legacy of Elvis Presley, who died in 1977 at the age of 42, Warner Bros and his Graceland estate will be hosting free screenings of the film for fans of the late singer.
In the 2022 biographical film, which was nominated for three Golden Globes, Butler portrays the musician.

Elvis Presley was born on January 8, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi and died on August 16, 1977 in Memphis, Tennessee.
He would have turned 88 this year.
While the film is on HBO Max, screenings will include special introductions from Butler and director Baz Luhrmann.
There will also be a 30-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film, which has grossed $284 million worldwide at the time of this release.
Elvis streams for free in: Atlanta (AMC Phipps Plaza); Chicago (AMC River East); Dallas (AMC North Park); Kansas City, Kansas (AMC Downtown); Los Angeles (AMC Burbank); New York City (Loews 34th Street); and San Francisco (AMC Metreon).
In Canada, the film will be shown in Toronto (Cineplex Scotiabank) and Vancouver (Cineplex Odeon International Village).

Remembering: To commemorate Presley’s life and legacy, Warner Bros and his Graceland Estate will be hosting free screenings of the film for fans of the late singer
All screenings are at 5pm, minus the Los Angeles screening which starts at 4pm
There will be an additional screening at 2:00 p.m. at the late singer’s Graceland mansion in Memphis.
Earlier Tuesday, Luhrmann took to social media to wish fans of the film a Happy New Year and teased the surprise ahead of Elvis Presley’s birthday.

“Happy New Year from the Gold Coast,” he said in the clip. “On behalf of the entire Elvis cast and crew, thank you for going out and seeing it.”
He added, “Warner Bros. and the Presley estate have some gifts to make it different than any other Elvis birthday that’s been around.”
Earlier, the Moulin Rouge director promised fans he would release a four-hour version of the blockbuster.
The Australian filmmaker explained that the extended version of Elvis would be released shortly after he took a break to rest and finish editing.
