The majority of home buyers would settle for a haunted house as skyrocketing prices unnerve Americans

The majority of home buyers would consider a haunted house as skyrocketing prices in the real estate market have spooked Americans.
A Opinion poll from Zillow Group Inc. found that 67 percent of potential home buyers could be persuaded to accept a few ghosts in the attic if all criteria were met.
The survey of 901 current home buyers and 993 potential buyers shows the extreme compromises Americans are willing to make in today’s real estate market, the company wrote in a press release.
More than a third of potential home buyers said they would buy a haunted house if the price was lower, and 40 percent of home buyers said the same if the home had features such as a large yard, pool or two-car garage.
Among recent home buyers, a surprising 12 percent said they believe their home is definitely haunted.
“The combination of high prices, limited inventory and rising interest rates is creating a witch’s brew of trouble for potential homeowners,” said Manny Garcia, a senior population scientist at Zillow.
