Nikki Webster’s legendary noughties hit “Strawberry Kisses” has re-entered the iTunes chart for the first time in 22 years.
It comes after the 2001 title became the Matildas team’s unofficial anthem for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.
The pop star, now 36, shared the happy news on Instagram this week, posting a screenshot of the iTunes chart showing ‘Strawberry Kisses’ at a consistent 11th place.
“I can’t believe how exciting it is to be back on the iTunes charts 22 years after its release,” she captioned the photo.
She continued, ‘Thank you everyone for the love and support.’ Means so much to me.’

Nikki serenaded the Matildas during an official ceremony honoring the team for fourth place at the highly publicized WWC tournament.
The blonde – who rose to fame after appearing at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 – was in her element as she got up close and personal with the athletes and read the lyrics to thousands of fans.
The Matildas were on stage for almost an hour as their tremendous athletic achievement was recognized when out of nowhere Nikki appeared to perform for them.

The players were enthralled by their performance and began dancing exuberantly together, with star striker Sam Kerr and goaltender Mackenzie Arnold even sharing the mic with Nikki at times.
The Matildas were delighted to finally be able to relax after a grueling finals in which they finished fourth after losing to Sweden on Saturday.
Fans quickly took to Twitter and gushed as Webster serenaded the team, with one fan writing, “What better way to celebrate the Tillies than with a performance from Nikki Webster herself,” and another adding, “This is so iconic it makes me cry.”
