The NBA is “INVESTIGATED by the U.S. Department of Justice over allegations that the league worked to thwart Ice Cube’s Big3 Basketball League”

The NBA is under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice over alleged antitrust allegations, according to a new report.

TMZ said On Monday, the league was accused of working to thwart the growth of Ice Cube’s Big3 basketball league.

The NBA is accused of trying to prevent sponsors and other business partners from doing business with the league and blocking television networks from broadcasting Big 3 games.

The DOJ investigation began months ago, TMZ said.

Launched in 2017, the league consists primarily of retired NBA players and takes place during the NBA’s summer offseason.

However, according to TMZ, both NBA players and referees have reportedly been banned from participating in the league.

Celtics star Jaylen Brown participated in the league’s All-Star Game last summer.
