The New York Knicks are acquiring Portland’s Josh Hart in exchange for Cam Reddish, other players and picks

Just hours before the NBA trade deadline, the New York Knicks made a big move to take on Portland Trail Blazers swingman Josh Hart.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Hart is moving to the Knicks in exchange for a protected first-round pick from 2023 and small forward cam Reddish.

Guards Ryan Acidiacono and Svi Mykhailiuk – who have both played fewer than 15 games this season – were also part of the deal.

Woj’s report also states that the Trail Blazers would receive four future second-round picks if the first-round pick is not submitted this year.

The Maryland native Hart joins the Knicks after averaging 9.5 points and 8.2 rebounds in Portland.

Hart played his college basketball at Villanova — where he was a teammate of Knicks guard Jalen Brunson.

Brunson was in Villanova on Wednesday night – where his jersey was retired at the Wildcats’ home, the Finneran Pavilion.

A fan came to Brunson after the ceremony took place with the news that Hart would be joining him in New York.

Brunson’s reaction was caught on camera – where he expressed shock, surprise and delight.

Brunson and Hart were both part of the 2016 Villanova national championship team — the second basketball title for the Wildcats in school history.
