A picture is worth a thousand words, and late Tuesday the Justice Department released an Instagram-worthy court filing: classified documents scattered on the floor of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
However, Trump was quick to claim that agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation staged the photo to take it [him] looking bad.’
“Terrifying how during the Mar-a-Lago raid the FBI threw documents on the ground at random (maybe like it was me!) and then started photographing them for the public to see…” he did tweeted.
Unfortunately, it’s not outside the realm of possibility.
The Justice Department has released a court filing with an Instagram-worthy photo: classified documents scattered on the floor of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence
Tuesday’s filing — in which the DOJ argued it was not necessary to accommodate Trump’s request for a “special master,” aka a third party, to inspect items confiscated from his home last month — offered little context for the disputed Picture.
And once again, the FBI and Justice Department appear to be attempting to try the former president in the cable news court rather than in an actual courtroom.
It’s a shameful state.
There is every reason to believe that Trump is right in staging this photo.
The FBI has left sane people little choice but to doubt anything they say or do these days, especially when it comes to the former commander in chief.
This is a man the FBI has been harassing for years without filing a single charge.
Enough is enough.
If it’s not already clear, it should read: It’s time to clean at the FBI.
Look at the countless messes it’s involved in.
A new report released Tuesday claims FBI Director Christopher Wray has lost the trust of those under his command.
“I’m hearing from [FBI personnel] that they feel the director has lost control of the bureau,” Kurt Siuzdak, an attorney representing FBI whistleblowers, told the Washington Times Tuesday. “They say, ‘How does this guy survive? He goes. He has to go.”
Powerful Republican senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Chuck Grassley, has called on Wray to help him investigate a “deep-rooted political infection” in the office that has allegedly opened investigations not only against Trump, but also against crooks First Son, Hunter Biden.
The call for Wray’s removal follows the resignation of Timothy Thibault, the top agent at Washington’s FBI field office, last Friday after whistleblowers claimed he prevented a criminal investigation into Hunter’s laptop.
Thibault was escorted out of the office by “guys who look like headquarters,” the Times reported.
We were told that this was standard procedure and the timing was entirely random, but if you believe that I have a dossier I want to sell you.
In fact, it all started with the infamous Christopher Steele dossier, which the FBI unquestionably took at face value.
They then used the apparent forgery to obtain a search warrant to spy on Trump’s campaign, and an FBI attorney was convicted of lying to a foreign intelligence surveillance court to make this possible.
On August 8, the FBI, which has harassed former President Donald Trump for years without filing a single charge, searched his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida
And let’s not forget hot text messages from G-Man Peter Strzok and G-Woman Lisa Page, in which the unhappy lovers reassured each other that there would be a “Plan B” to keep Trump out of office.
Then, for a few more years, we had Robert Mueller’s special counsel’s investigation into the fabricated Russia collusion case, which fizzled out like a wet sparkler, complete with leaks that had liberal pundits salivating at the idea that the walls were drawing near brought up trumps.
Until suddenly they weren’t anymore.
Hopes and dreams destroyed.
Then there was Andrew McCabe, the disgraced former deputy director of the FBI, who himself the DOJ’s inspector general has repeatedly insisted was lying and violating FBI codes and policies.
He wasn’t prosecuted, of course, and look where that got him: contributor status on CNN!
Over on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg dropped another bombshell last week, blowing more holes in the FBI’s credibility.
It appears that a few days before the New York Post published its story on Hunter Biden’s laptop in October 2020, agents Zuck had warned that they feared a Russian disinformation campaign would be launched.
The FBI says they never mentioned the laptop, but oddly enough, shortly after the Post’s laptop story was published, which by the way everyone now agrees was 100 percent correct, 51 former Secret Service agents signed a letter , in which they called the story, you guessed it, Russian disinformation.
See the bow they tied to that pretty little package?
Or we can talk about disgraced former FBI Director James Comey, who briefed then-President-elect Trump on the fake dossier — and then rushed to his waiting car to record the president’s reaction — with plans to reveal it later.
Or the plan to catch then-acting National Security Advisor Michael Flynn with an obscure, centuries-old law that has never led to a prosecution in the country’s history.
There are almost too many examples to list them all.
Put simply, anything that involved (or includes) the name Donald J. Trump was (is) being pursued by a zealous FBI to the ends of the world.
Even the FBI itself knows it has a problem.
This week it took the ridiculously feeble step of banning agents from attending overtly political events to “avoid” the appearance of bias.
But we’re well beyond semblance of bias.
Our top law enforcement agency’s perpetually disparate treatment of Trump and Biden is so clear, so incredibly obvious, that these small corrections to the edges or greater oversight are woefully inadequate.
There needs to be a total top-down purge of the FBI now.
And it likely has to include the firing or resignation of Director Wray, who has failed utterly in his attempts, if any, to hold the anti-Trump and pro-Biden hooligans in his organization accountable.
For years we had Robert Mueller’s special counsel’s investigation into the fabricated Russia collusion case that fizzled out like a wet sparkler, complete with leaks that had liberal pundits drooling over the notion that the walls were closing in on Trump.
America rescued the FBI before it self-destructed.
46 percent of the country now has a negative opinion of the FBI, according to polls. You can guess which 46 percent that is.
It’s bad and unsustainable enough that half the country distrusts federal law enforcement, but when that rift collapses so partisanally, it’s not only unsustainable, it’s dangerous.
Now Biden, the leader of a Democratic party whose anti-police policies have turned America’s cities into hotbeds of violent crime, has the gall to claim that criticism of the blatantly partisan FBI proves it really is Republicans who are against the law enforcement are.
It’s an absurd joke that Americans won’t buy. The rot at the FBI has reached the core.
To regain the confidence of the American people, you and the DOJ must make real and substantive changes.
No more leaks, no more staged photos, no more hiding Biden’s family crimes.
We need an honest and transparent FBI. And we need it now.
