The venue’s license was suspended for 28 days after the murder, after police accused “serious management errors” at the venue on the night he died.

In a review meeting earlier this month, Birmingham City Councilors said they would consider whether to permanently close the club in a full review hearing going forward.

Police’s request for review said Mr Fisher died during “a fight on the dance floor” and officers present “described a scene of chaos and evidence of drug use on the premises”.

Police recovered a knife from the scene and an autopsy confirmed that Mr Fisher died of a stab wound.

His girlfriend Jess Chatwin paid tribute to him with a message on Twitter the day after his death.
