The TikTok star is sparking mixed reactions after telling fans she only showered 37 times in 2022!

A sex worker and top earner at OnlyFans claimed on Twitter she only had 37 showers in all of 2022.

Aella, from Idaho, took to Twitter to reflect on the past 12 months, but the bit of information that caught people’s eye was how infrequently she washed.

In response to a commenter questioning her hygiene routine, Aella said she tries “not to disturb my natural skin microbiome too much.”

The 27-year-old claims she doesn’t “stink” due to a “microbiome” balance, a collection of bacteria and fungi that live on the body.

Aella (pictured), from Idaho, USA, has been reflecting on social media for the past 12 months, but the bit of information that caught people’s eye was how infrequently she washed.

In a Twitter thread, she wrote: “If a random person who shampoos daily stops shampooing, their hair is going to be horrible and greasy. But if you are persistent and careful, your body will adapt.

“But that’s not perfect, and different people have different body types with different levels of activity and sweat levels. I *still* do maintenance to deal with the stink between showers!

“I’m careful not to use soap on my armpits as it seems to increase the odor; I usually scrub hard with a wet washcloth and then apply deodorant and it works great. I also use a bidet and wash my genitals often.”

She added that since she lives in a humid area, she doesn’t use body moisturizer, which helps keep her skin feeling fresh.

Twitter users were divided in their response to Aella’s post, with some supporting while many others were concerned.

One person said, “Isn’t it possible you just went nose-blind?”

A second added: “Our nervous system has evolved to become less and less sensitive to a stimulus the longer it lasts. you smell girl You just can’t smell yourself.”

A user agreed with Aella, saying: “I don’t shower often either and agree. And since I’ve washed my hair less often, the texture and volume have improved significantly.

Another added: “I’ve showered maybe 10 times in 2022 and I don’t smell. Of course I wear clean clothes and wash my hands/face more often, but daily showering is totally unnecessary and makes you smell even worse.”

“Ignore the haters on this one. Notice how they all focus on “smell.” So what, even if you smelled. Nothing bad happens. As long as you keep your hands and asshole clean.’

Some scientists have said that while it may be socially acceptable, showering every day is not vital.

Consultant Derrick Phillips told HealthLine, “For most children and adults, washing once a day is sufficient to maintain a socially acceptable level of personal hygiene and cleanliness,” he says.

“The skin naturally cleanses itself and flakes off,” he says. “Scrubbing helps remove physical dirt and enhances the sense of cleanliness, but isn’t necessary.”
