‘They’ve given up the fight’: Roy Keane smacks Leicester on ‘SHOCKING’ after a ‘disgraceful’ collapse in 5-2 defeat at Brighton – and warns Brendan Rodgers under fire he’s in ‘trouble’

  • Leicester played a 2-2 draw at half-time but still lost 2-5 to Brighton
  • Roy Keane said the foxes lacked “commitment and desire” and were “shocking”.
  • He also said coach Brendan Rodgers was “in trouble” after the game

Roy Keane produced a “disgraceful” second-half performance in Sunday’s 5-2 defeat by Brighton at Leicester.

The Foxes took the lead in the first minute of play through Kelechi Iheanacho and drew 2-2 at half-time after a goal from Patson Daka, but surrendered in the second half to an in-form Brighton side.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have now lost five games in a row and are bottom of the Premier League with one point from six games.

Roy Keane told Sky Sports after the game: “Leicester put in a disgraceful performance in the second half.

“They gave up the fight. Shocking. Without obligations. Do not feel like. Brendan Rodgers struggles with that second-half performance.

Leicester’s poor performances on the pitch come after a frustrating transfer window, when key players like Kasper Schmeichel and Wesley Fofana left the club and few signings were made.

Keane added that Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was “in trouble” after the poor performance

It was a much better afternoon for Brighton who remain fourth in the league after an impressive performance.

Alexis Mac Allister scored a brace and had another stunning strike that was ruled out by VAR.

There were also goals for Leandro Trossard and Moises Caicedo as the Seagulls scored five goals in a top-flight game for the first time in their history.
