This morning’s Sharon Marshall apologizes after mistakenly announcing Coronation Street exit

This Morning’s Sharon Marshall apologized to fans on Wednesday after the soap expert mistakenly announced an on-air departure from Coronation Street.
During the show, the 51-year-old entertainment journalist sat down with hosts Holly Willoughby and Joel Dommett to discuss what viewers can expect from their favorite soaps.
Sharon announced that actress Jodie Prenger is stepping down from her role as Glenda Shuttleworth on Coronation Street.
The mistake went unnoticed for the remainder of the ITV show, with Sharon later realizing her mistake and clarifying the news on Twitter.
“I’m the biggest idiot! Iconic Jodie Prenger is NOT leaving Corrie. Glenda is staying,” she later shared.

This Morning bosses have named a replacement for Phillip Schofield on This Morning this week as the presenter takes a break from the show.

TV presenter Phillip, 60, normally hosts the program Monday to Thursday alongside Holly Willoughby, 42, but so far this week he has been replaced by Alison Hammond, 48.
Masked Singer host Joel, 37, replaced Phillip on Wednesday and Thursday this week, with Phil returning on Monday April 3.
It comes after Phil’s brother Timothy Schofield, 54, went on trial this week on charges of sexually abusing a schoolboy who allegedly made a confession to his famous sibling.
Timothy reportedly had an “obsessive sexual interest” in a teenager and traveled to the This Morning presenter’s home to confide in him.
His trial heard that when Phillip told his TV personality sibling that he and the boy had a sex act together, he replied, “What did you say?” And after the defendant described the “time” he and his alleged victim were dating, the celebrity hit back: “What the hell is that? [that]?’

The TV presenter told his brother it “should never happen again” and later gave a statement to police, which is part of the case against his younger sibling, the court has been told.
Timothy Schofield is facing 11 charges for alleged sex offenses committed against the boy for three years since October 2016. He denies them all.
He is accused of causing him to observe and engage in sexual activity. He is also said to have performed sexual acts in front of the accuser.
Prosecutor Robin Shellard opened the case, saying: “This is a case about Timothy Schofield’s obsessive sexual interest [his alleged victim] and the subsequent sexual abuse of this teenager.’
