Three 6 Mafia rapper Gangsta Boo has died aged 43.

TMZ reported Sunday that fellow musicians, including DJ Paul, took to social media to reminisce about the musician, whose real name is Lola Mitchell.

The outlet reported that Gangsta Boo’s cause of death was not immediately clear.

DJ Paul, a member of Three 6 Mafia, posted what appears to be a memory shot of Gangsta Boo working on a turntable.

The post drew a flurry of reactions from big names like Ludacris, Paul Wall, 2 Chainz and Big Boi. Drake posted a memorial that read, “Rest in Heaven Gangsta Boo.”

The music artist began performing in the 1990s with members of the rap group such as Paul and Juicy J, as well as Lord Infamous, Crunchy Black and Koopsta Knicca.

She had released solo albums and collaborated with Three 6 Mafia on their first five studio albums, including 1995’s Mystic Stylez, 1996’s Chapter 1: The End and 2001’s Choices.

Gangsta Boo had left the group in the early 2000s and went on to release three solo albums: Inquiring Minds (1998), Both Worlds *69 (2001) and Inquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera (2003).

She had also collaborated with artists such as OutKast, Lil Jon, TI, The Game and Gucci Mane. In recent years she had collaborated with artists Run The Jewels, consisting of Killer Mike and El-P.

She had maintained a strong social media presence with more than 266,000 followers on Instagram and only posted to Instagram Stories on Saturday.
