TJ Holmes and Amy Robach were spotted making their way to the starting line to run the New York City Half Marathon together this morning.

In photos seen exclusively by DailyMail.com, Holmes, 45, and Robach, 50, dressed head-to-toe in Lycra and looked cool as they headed to Prospect Park in Brooklyn to work up a sweat.

Her second half in two years, the run is the ex-hosts’ first since news of their affair robbed them of their jobs last year – and comes hot on their heels or reports they were planning to run the event incognito.

Their affair, revealed by DailyMail.com in November, cost both their marriages and their contracts at ABC, with both ending their tenure at GMA3 with severance pay in January. The competitive couple have since struggled to keep a low profile – after returning from a trip to Mexico in February where they allegedly packed on the PDA.

The couple may also have used the trip to prepare for the 13.1-mile event, which will take place in Manhattan and Brooklyn to compete her fitness with “intimate” sex workouts that have whipped her into “the best shape of her life” Insiders revealed to DailyMail.com this week.

TJ and Amy were spotted head to toe in lycra and warm hats as they made their way to the start line in Prospect Park

Snappers deployed by DailyMail.com over the East River just before dawn confirmed suspicions the pair would carry out the relatively under-the-radar event, which until any stragglers are in its final wave, was due to wrap up by midday .

The couple dressed for the occasion – with hats, gloves and close-fitting sports gear as temperatures dipped just below freezing – and joined around 25,000 runners who were said to be taking part in the event.

Notable names rumored to be joining the pair include retired Giants running back Tiki Barber and reality TV stars Andi Dorfman and Peter Weber, who have not been photographed since the run’s first run around Hit the pavement at 7 a.m. sharp.

The run begins in Prospect Park in Brooklyn before starting across the Manhattan Bridge over the East River where, once in Manhattan, runners race along the Lower East Side through Midtown and finally finish in Central Park.

Like its more famous, full-length counterpart, the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon takes place only once a year and is a slight inconvenience for Sunday riders, as it’s one of the few occasions when Times Square closes entirely.

However, the run is far from a show-stopping event and is relatively unknown to most New Yorkers, receiving far less coverage than the city’s famous five-borough event – and attracting less than half as many runners.

It’s this pseudo-obscurity that may have played a role in Robach and Holmes’ decision to face the first wave of three separate groups of runners, preceded by professional wheelchair and handbike athletes.
