Tom Brady joked that he could come out of retirement again just days before the start of the 2023 NFL season after being snubbed by Peyton and Eli Manning.

The 46-year-old headlined a star-studded group of hopefuls who auditioned for the Manning brothers’ role as third-hosts on their popular ManningCast show.

In the Omaha Productions trailer for the show, which will air as ESPN’s alternative show Monday Night Football, Peyton, 47, and Eli, 42, audition for a number of famous faces including Reese Witherspoon and DJ Khaled, but neither managed to book the job successfully.

However, Brady didn’t even get a chance to try it out as he was left in the waiting room with a dog, while Peyton explained that there was no one else on his list.

“No, I didn’t get the ManningCast job,” the retired quarterback says in a phone call before menacing music begins. “I think I’ll just come back and play football again.”

However, the seven-time Super Bowl winner will be on TV screens in the near future.

In 2024, the retired quarterback will begin his role as an analyst at Fox after signing a 10-year, $375 million deal with the network.

After retiring for the second and final time in February, Brady made his on-air debut on Fox Sports this week.

He briefly burst onto the screens of college football fans when he appeared in a promotional video cheering on his Michigan alma mater at the Fox Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday and sent a message to other rival teams.

Meanwhile, Peyton and Eli will apparently remain a duo in the third season of their series.

The brothers have auditioned a number of big names, including celebrities on and off the field.

Mike Tyson was one of the sport’s greats but said: “I’m only here because you guys have the most powerful punching faces in batting face history.”

Meanwhile, NCAA turning star and social media sensation Olivia Dunne made a cameo asking Eli if he’d ever heard of TikTok — the social media platform on which she has 7.8 million followers.

She also hilariously knocked a can of cheese balls out of Christian McCaffrey’s hands with a soccer ball.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay impressed with his musical ability as he sang for the other hopefuls in the waiting room. His performance wowed rapper Lil Wayne, who insisted he had to put the “old guy” to the test.

Kirk Cousins also voiced his iconic “You like that,” while Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniels told the Mannings to “fuck themselves.”

The ManningCast will open its schedule with the Week 1 clash between Aaron Rodgers’ New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills.
