Tori Kelly’s husband has given fans a worrying update on the singer’s shocking hospitalization, which resulted in her being treated for “life-threatening blood clots in her legs and lungs”.

Following the news, André Murillo shared just a black screen with the audio of Tori’s verse from Justin Bieber’s song “Where Do I Fit In” on his Instagram Story Tuesday morning.

The poignant lyrics state, “When I’m all alone and only see fear / Sit in the stillness with these insecurities / Then you remind me that you hold me tight / And you love me completely, you’re always by my side.”

The 30-year-old Grammy winner was reportedly out dining with friends in Los Angeles on Sunday night when she suffered a medical emergency and lost consciousness, sources said TMZ.

She was quickly rushed for medical attention and doctors are reportedly treating her for multiple blood clots around vital organs.

According to the publication, Tori is still in the hospital while doctors work to dissolve the blood clots, and a source described her condition as “really serious.”

According to the publication’s sources, the singer was eating when her heart suddenly started beating abnormally fast.

After alerting her friends to the problem, she reportedly passed out. A source said she had been “unconscious for a while”.

Although it’s recommended to call 911 immediately in the event of a medical emergency, the sources claimed Tori’s friends feared she wouldn’t receive proper care at a local downtown LA hospital.

Instead, they reportedly carried her to a car and sped to the more prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Tori is reportedly currently being treated in intensive care, where doctors have discovered blood clots in her legs and lungs. She has reportedly been conscious intermittently during her current hospitalization, but her condition and prognosis are unclear.

While blood clots are necessary for the body to stop and heal bleeding, they can also block normal blood flow, a condition called thrombosis. Deep vein thrombosis occurs when a blood clot occurs in one of the body’s deep veins, the study said Mayo Clinic.

However, the clots can then travel to other organs and cause more serious problems there. A pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot travels to the lungs and gets stuck there, blocking much-needed blood flow to the organ.

Kelly’s wife of five years, basketball player André Murillo, has not publicly commented on the situation.
