Tori Spelling reveals the reason for the blinding eye patch as she thanks fans for their well wishes and concern

Tori Spelling stepped out in Los Angeles last night with a new accessory – an iridescent patch over one eye, which caused concern among her fans.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 49, discussed her eye condition in a social media post on March 24, revealing on her Instagram Story that she had an ulcer on her eye.

She captioned the snap of herself: “Thank you to all the well wishes and concerns. Everyone asks if I scratched my cornea. It’s actually an ulcer on my eye. Antibiotic drops and Dr. said it will ‘hopefully’ heal in 7-10 days.’

And last night. She was dating her best friend and hairstylist Laura Rugetti, who wore matching pink and black outfits and platinum blonde hair extensions, distinguished only by Tori’s dazzling pink eye patch, which Laura created for her.

The two blondes wore cropped pink jackets with long pleated black skirts with a thigh-length slit. Tori – who revealed she is in couples therapy with husband Dean McDermott – and Laura also carried matching pink handbags decorated with feathers and sequins.

The event, held at Hotel Ziggy in West Hollywood, was set to celebrate the launch of Laura’s Hidden Crown line of clip-in hair extensions.

Tori posted a series of snaps from her evening and captioned them, “Bringing back twinning one fashion moment at a time.”

‘When your hair best starts its clip in the extension line… support even with an ulcer in your eyeball. Laura even made me an eye patch. I am proud of this #boss.”

‘I love you!!!!!!!!! Thanks for being the best friend who supports you the most,” the Blowing LA star commented on Tori’s post.

Fans flocked to the comments section of Tori’s post to offer support, well wishes and thanks for making wearing an eye patch so absolutely fabulous.

“I read the patch was for an injury but my little one who has a condition called amblyopia needs a patch for it. She loved loved loved to see this and said it was a real Barbie with a patch!’ commented one mother.

“I love that you rocked the eye patch. I had to wear one due to an MS eye issue and was so embarrassed. Thanks for making this cool!’ wrote another fan.

Others chimed in, writing: “I’m sorry you have a corneal ulcer. I wish you a very speedy recovery. You both look amazing” and “Only Tori can make an eye patch (fire emoji) look amazing!”

And last weekend, the mother-of-five revealed that she and her husband, 17, are taking marriage counseling to resolve their issues.

Dean, 56, and Tori have been together since 2006, and a source doesn’t claim the counseling has been “huge” for them lately.

“They’ve had their ups and downs like they always have, but they’re still doing their best to make it work,” a source told Entertainment Tonight.

Marriage counseling has been a big part of how they’re trying to work things out and so far it’s been going pretty well,” the source added.
