Tottenham have announced the departures of Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele to Turkish club Galatasaray.
Sanchez, 27, joined Tottenham in 2017 for a transfer fee potentially as high as £42million but has struggled to impress in north London.
He leaves the club on a permanent contract worth £12.8million after the Colombia defender had already attracted interest from several clubs including Spartak Moscow and Nottingham Forest this summer.
Meanwhile, Ndombele – the Spurs’ record signing after joining from Lyon for £55million in 2019 – is on a season-long loan after spending similar temporary stints at Lyon and Napoli in the last two seasons.
Neither player was part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans for this year, despite Sanchez featuring twice but Ndombele not even being included in a matchday’s squad.

Cruelly for Sanchez, his final action in Tottenham’s shirt will be his missed penalty during a Carabao Cup shootout defeat by Fulham last week.
The 54-cap Colombia international endured the embarrassment of being booed by his own fans last season as he lasted just 23 minutes before being substituted in a 3-2 defeat by Bournemouth.
Sanchez, who originally came on for Clement Lenglet in the 35th minute, made two mistakes as the Cherries took a 2-1 lead The ball were also taunted.
The 27-year-old has failed to live up to his salary in six years in north London, only once making more than 30 Premier League appearances in a single season.
In Antonio Conte’s first full season in charge, Sanchez appeared to have earned a place in the Italian’s plans for the club, having started three of Spurs’ first five Premier League games.

At Galatasaray, they now join forces with the likes of Lucas Torreira and Wilfried Zaha (above).
However, Sanchez’ run with the side was ultimately to prove short-lived as he made just five more Premier League starts as the club failed to secure European football for the first time since 2010.
Despite this, he still made more than 200 appearances in his six years with the club.
Ndombele has struggled since his record-breaking move in north London, with the fee Spurs paying at the time surpassing that of Sanchez – who was previously the club’s biggest expense.
Galatasaray won Turkey’s Super Lig for the first time in four years in 2022/23 and are preparing to participate in the Champions League, where they will be drawn in a group with Bayern Munich, Man United and FC Copenhagen.
Their squad includes former Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha and former Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.
