Toys R Us is set to open NINE new stores in the coming weeks as the toy retailer returns to the UK’s high streets. Are there any near you?
Toys R Us will open nine new stores in the coming weeks as the retailer returns to the UK high street.
The openings mark the first time the chain has returned since its collapse in 2018.
Each shop will open in WHSmith stores, with one ready to welcome shoppers as early as next week.
Toys R Us stores offer toys from brands such as Barbie, Bluey, Hot Wheels, Lego, Paw Patrol and Star Wars.
The first opening will be on June 10th at WHSMiths Monks Cross retail park in York.

A further eight stores will then open across the UK over the course of the summer.
The full list of locations where Toys R Us will open is:
- Canterbury (St George Street)
- Chelmsford (Main Street)
- Cheltenham (High Street)
- Cwmbran (The Mall)
- Oxford (Cornmarket Street)
- Poole (Towngate Shopping Centre)
- Reading (Broad Street)
- Solihull (Mell Square)
- York (Monks Cross Shopping Centre)

The famous chain collapsed in 2018 and closed the doors of all 100 UK stores – and announced plans for a relaunch in October last year.
