Tracy Grimshaw ENDS A Current Affair after 17 years – as the TV veteran gives an emotional speech to shocked viewers and insists it’s NOT because she’s ‘too old’.

TV legend Tracy Grimshaw has announced that she is stepping down from A Current Affair.

The 62-year-old made the announcement during Monday’s episode of the popular Nine Network programme.

“I wanted you to hear from me, and I have news before you hear it from anyone else. I’ve decided to wrap up this year with A Current Affair,” she began.

“It was a big decision. I want you to know that it was my sole decision and I won’t be pushed out the door by the boys. I’m not too old,” she continued.

“And for the record, both the boys and girls asked me to stay. But I’ve actually been a shift worker for 26 years, Drive to work before sunrise, drive home after dark and it’s time for less of the same.

“It was an honor to host this show.”
