Turia Pitt recalls the moment she found pictures of her horrific injuries

Turia Pitt shared the terrifying moment of discovering photos of the injuries that left her with burns covering 64 percent of her body.

The 35-year-old suffered the burns when she was caught in wildfire during an ultramarathon in Western Australia in 2011.

The brave mother-of-two said she found the images on a USB stick several years ago, in a folder dated just two days after her first horrific accident.

“I knew it was obviously going to be a confrontation for me,” the motivational speaker said on her podcast Turia Pitt is Hard Work.

“Do you think I stepped back, took a few deep breaths and thought about it a little? Or do you think I just double clicked?’

The Celebrity Apprentice star continued to describe the pics during her podcast, telling listeners that she was “puffy” and “looked half how I used to look but half how I look now.”

Turia called what she found in the photos “confrontation” and went on to say that after becoming very upset, she contacted her psychologist.

“She’s amazing, she came over, we sat down and looked at the photos together,” she continued during the podcast.

“It was really good that she was with me and supporting me and we talked about each of the photos and why I found that really upsetting.”

Turia said the pictures were in a folder dated just two days after her first horrific accident. She continued to describe the images during her podcast, telling listeners that she was “puffy” and “looked half how I used to look but half how I look now.”

Followers were quick to applaud Turia for her confession.

Earlier this year, she opened up about the aftermath of the tragedy eleven years later, saying she wanted to “die” in the early stages of her hospitalization.

Speaking to Jess Rowe on her podcast The Big Talk Show, Turia explained that both she and her father are “very logical” by nature, and she told him she wanted to die because “he would know where she came from.” .

Luckily, Turia found the will to live and became a successful motivational speaker who has shared her story with thousands of people.
