Posh’s ‘muse’: Victoria Beckham welcomes new fashion inspiration Maya Jama after her hugely successful debut hosting Love Island

Victoria Beckham has hailed new Love Island presenter Maya Jama as her latest fashion muse after her hugely successful debut this week.

An instant hit with fans, the Love Island presenter wore a variety of striking outfits in the opening episodes – including a gorgeous red two-piece suit and a stunning cut-out black dress.

TV presenter Maya, 28, who replaced Laura Whitmore as host of the ITV2 reality show, also wore a red suit from Victoria’s fashion brand in a shoot for the Sunday Times Style magazine this month.

And now The Sun has revealed that Victora, 48, spent time with Maya at British Vogue’s Forces For Change initiative dinner at The London Hotel last month after being introduced by Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful.

According to the newspaper insider: “The women discussed fashion after an introduction by Edward, who admires them both, and they hit it off.

“Maya loves expressing herself through clothes and has long been a supporter of Victoria’s work, and likewise Victoria was delighted to meet the beauty as she has her finger on the pulse.

“Victoria believes Maya is the future of fashion and hopes they can work together more.”

In addition to their meeting, this week Victoria posted a picture of Maya’s recent shoot to Instagram, calling her “VB Muse.”

Maya has previously guested at Victoria’s runway shows, appearing at her spring/summer 2019 event wearing the same baby blue suit as Victoria’s mother, Jackie Adams.

This comes after Victoria called wanting to look skinny an “old-fashioned attitude,” adding, “Every woman wants a nice, round, curvy butt.”

Meanwhile, Maya was always proud of her curves.

She told Cosmopolitan in 2020, “It’s so ridiculous that people use the ‘you’re a woman, you should cover up’ angle. We are women, we have breasts. Some people are stuck in the past. You cannot monitor someone’s outfit.

“I’ve gained weight. When I was younger no one commented on the clothes (I wore) but since my boobs are bigger now it’s insulting.

“You can be the best presenter in the world, but if you’re wearing a low-cut top, that’s going to be the only focus. It’s stupid.’
