Video Challenge: Can you spot the sniper before he shoots you?

Can you spot the sniper… before he shoots at you? The heart-pounding video challenges viewers to catch the killer in the woods before time runs out
- Can you spot the sniper hidden in the vegetation and bushes?
- James Trouble created the video hiding in different positions
- Viewers were divided, with many saying they needed extra help finding him
Hidden in that orange vegetation and green bushes is a sniper who blends into his surroundings in a matter of seconds.
He wears a ghillie suit with loops that make it easy to tie leaves and sticks to his body. He often waits within sight, indistinguishable from his surroundings.
James Trouble, who runs the KickingMustang YouTube channel and created the video, expects those with the untrained eye to be able to find him.
“I’ve always had a penchant for hiding… I was addicted to the thrill of becoming invisible,” he told MailOnline.
“I think if you can spot me half the time, you’re doing well.”

Giving a clue to anyone looking to find him in his footage, he warned: “The best way to spot a sniper is to look out for unnatural shapes.
‘Straight lines or shadows where there shouldn’t be. We often recognize deer in the forest by their horizontal, flat backs, this also applies to snipers, look for unusual lines.
“Any type of movement, it doesn’t matter how good the camouflage is, if the person moves they will be detected.”
In seven separate clips, James shows how easy it is for a sniper to blend in with the suit.
He says: “It has realistic colors and the 3D leaf is laid out in natural random patterns that mimic the forest floor. The suit is covered with an elastic retention system to add natural vegetation to the field.
‘The sleeves have extended cuffs to cover the back of the hand and an elasticated thumb loop to prevent the sleeves from creeping up when crawling.’

In the video, which has been viewed 327,000 times, James even offers viewers his own sniper suit perspective to make it easier to find him.
Many noted that the sniper’s perspective helped them determine his general surroundings, but still couldn’t see him until he stood up – by which point a sniper in a real scenario would have had enough time to pull the trigger.
James has been playing airsoft for 12 years – a team-based shooting game in which participants eliminate opposing players from the game by blasting them with plastic projectiles.
He sells his highly detailed and realistic ghillie suits for £160, while the matching balaclavas retail for £35.

“That just goes to show how effective good stealth and placement can be in the hands of a sniper. I would be worried if I was the enemy,” said one viewer.
Another added: “This really shows the power of your camouflage suit.”
Others offered advice, urging other viewers to keep an eye out for darker bits of vegetation and unusual features in the area.
“You do a damn good job knowing your vegetation around you. I’ve seen some people just use green and I think that’s the way to go.
“Need to add some dead growth with living growth. You definitely nailed it.’
Photographer Simon Menner from Germany shared his own version of the game after snapping pictures of army snipers hiding in deserted landscapes around the world.
MailOnline readers were divided about the picture – some said they spotted it straight away, while others said it was in the last place they expected.

Simon Menner traveled to Lithuania last year where he captured this image of a sniper hiding in plain sight – so can YOU spot the shooter in the snowy scenery?
