Warzone 2 Assault Rifles Ranking: January 2023

Our January 2023 Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Assault Rifles Ranking is here to run through the best weapons for battle royale.

With Season 2 expected to release on February 1st, Warzone 2 players are still figuring out the best meta to conquer Al Mazrah. Some notable meta changes have occurred since December, so here’s an updated leaderboard to kick off the new year.

S level

M4

Our S tier has the TAQ-56 which is still at the forefront of the Warzone 2 meta. For players who don’t use the RPK, the TAQ-56 is the go-to choice for the best balance between long and medium range gunfire. More and more players are taking advantage of the Kastov-74U for its deadly close-range damage, giving players AR that works like an SMG. And of course, the M4’s top-tier TTK earns the gun an S-tier spot.

A step

The M13B and STB 556 are two guns that fall just short of the S tier ARs. The M13B’s 60-round magazine allows players to engage multiple enemies without having to reload the rapid-firing weapon. The STB 556 is another example of an AR that’s great for close gunfire.

B level

Kastow 762

The Chimera and Kastov 762 fall into the B Tier. They’re both decent weapons, but with the other ARs dominating the meta, not many players choose these two weapons as their main weapon. The Chimera offers players a unique stealth option, but its range and recoil make it unsuitable for Al Mazrah.

C level

Lachmann-556

Although the Lachman-556 was a good pick when the game launched, it fell down the leaderboard for most players. The Kastov 545 never caught on as it’s the weakest Kastovia weapon in the game, and the M16 ranks last because a burst weapon will never be popular with so many elite ARs.
