Warzone 2 PC Audio Trick “Feels Like Cheating”

Warzone player Metaphor has unveiled a simple PC audio trick to help players pinpoint enemy locations.
Listening to your enemy is not a sneaky exercise. You could always hear your opponent’s footsteps when he was nearby and it was a standard in many online multiplayer shooters. Audio cues of movement, looting, and more are key to staying on top of your game.
But Metaphor has now revealed that there are a number of PC settings you can tweak to fully optimize the audio cues.
In a Jan. 6 video, the player said, “A new audio setting has been discovered that will make your audio sound absolutely insane.”
“This will alert you if there are people in the area no matter what.”
To get the same effect, players need to adjust and improve some settings:
- Right-click the speaker icon in your taskbar and go to “Sounds”.
- Go to the Playback tab and find your default device
- Right-click the device and select “Properties”
- Select “Improvements”
- Turn on Loudness Equalization
- click ok”
Players can disable the setting again by following the steps above and disabling Loudness Equalization.
Metaphor acknowledged that settings can sometimes make it appear as if enemies are either above or below you even though you are on the same floor. But the general changes will make finding the exact location of enemies much easier.
