Warzone 2 Resurgence Map Season 2 Release Rumor Notes

Warzone 2’s Resurgence map could arrive as early as February with Season 2, according to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson.
Resurgence is a fan-favorite Call of Duty battle royale mode that gives squads the ability to respawn a limited number of times during a match. Also, Resurgence is traditionally played on a smaller map like Rebirth Island or Fortune’s Keep. It kept the gameplay fresh, frantic, and fast-paced, a nice change from bigger maps like Caldera.
Warzone 2 is still in the early stages of its lifespan, but it seems Resurgence is coming sooner rather than later, giving players an option other than Al Mazrah.
I’ve flagged this as a rumor for now… But it would be nice to see to bring new life to Warzone 2. https://t.co/9ZyCKWXvmv

Tom Henderson has pointed out that this may just be a rumor, but there are details that led to Insider Gaming’s original report. According to Henderson’s report, two sources have told Insider Gaming that the Resurgence map will appear in Season 2. However, Insider Gaming has a three-source rule that prevents the publication from stating this definitively.
It would be pretty early to add a Resurgence map to Warzone 2. However, perhaps Activision is aware of how popular Fortune’s Keep was towards the end of Warzone’s original lifecycle. They might want to capitalize early on in 2023 by releasing a fast-paced mode. Also, Al Mazrah is a big map and Warzone 2 games feel long at times. This might be the change that fans have been asking for.
Warzone 2 Season 2 doesn’t have a firm release date, but it’s expected to start in February.
