Warzone 2 Season 3 rewards leaked, hint at new BR map

Warzone 2 Season 3 is rapidly approaching and players will earn new exclusive rewards, although some players mistakenly received these rewards early.

Warzone 2 Season 3 isn’t quite there yet, but we’re not too far off the next chapter in the battle royale’s journey. Fans are hoping Season 3 will bring some exciting content updates, including new modes, cosmetics, and rewards. The latter seems most likely after a recent bug meant some players were able to collect rewards that aren’t scheduled to go live until next season.

A Call of Duty news account, Task Force Leaks Images has revealed that the leaked rewards were supposed to be part of a mission in Warzone 2 Season 3. Fans were then quick to point out that the leaked rewards also appear to hint at a brand new battle royale map for Warzone 2.

“These are the new rewards for defusing a bomb in Warzone Strong Holds, scheduled to go live in Season 3 but mistakenly released early,” reads the report. “One of the rewards has a cartel theme.”

The leaked rewards included cosmetics like stickers, emblems, and more, all seemingly related to the cartels.

In response to the post, one player said, “Cartels campaign is all about Las Alma.

The theming seems to make sense given the role the cartels played in Modern Warfare 2’s main story. “Las Almas” was also an Easter egg in the game.

At the time of writing, Activision is yet to confirm its plans for Warzone 2 Season 3, but it’s likely only a matter of time before we find out what’s in store.
