Warzone Assault Rifles Ranking September 2022

Our Warzone Assault Rifle Tier List for September 2022 is here to check out which of the weapons are the best to use now that the new meta has settled down a bit following the launch of Raven Software’s latest major balancing update.

Since the first patch of Season 5, almost surprisingly, Warzone players have yet to see any weapon nerfs and buffs. That’s not to say the meta isn’t still evolving though. This is how the assault rifles stack in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 in September 2022.

S level

There are 12 ARs in the S tier, which have proven to be key elements of the meta in Season 5. Especially after the nerfs to the SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x optics, there are certainly multiple options that players can use for their main AR. For sniper support, look no further than the Volk, which should be a perfect option when paired with the newly buffed snipers. Meanwhile, the Nikita AVT, KG M40, Vargo 52, STG44, Cooper Carbine, Kilo 141, AS44, Vargo-S, and M13 should also remain strong options.

A step

There are a variety of options in the A tier that are good for the top tier and generally remain balanced for use in Warzone. Essentially, these ARs sit just outside of the main meta, but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive.

B level

EX1

These B-Tier weapons remain viable but could use a slight buff to get more players seriously considering using them. Unfortunately, this is where the fun ends. These ARs are neither as popular nor as statistically significant as compared to the guns above. After initially attracting attention with its laser rifle characteristics, the EX1 seems more like a casual gimmick pistol than a melting machine.

C level

Whether it’s long-range support or sniper support, these C-tier rifles still don’t have anywhere near a place in the meta and definitely need some buffs in Warzone.
