Warzone weapon tier list September 2022

Our September 2022 Warzone Weapons Tier List is all about which of the weapons are the best to use now that the new meta has settled down a bit following the launch of Raven Software’s latest major balancing update.

Since the first patch of Season 5, almost surprisingly, Warzone players have yet to see any weapon nerfs and buffs. That’s not to say the meta isn’t still evolving though. This is how the guns stack in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 in September 2022.

S level

These options in the S tier all make up Warzone’s weapon meta moving forward. Especially after the nerfs to the SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x optics, there are certainly multiple options that players can use for their main long-range option. For sniper support, look no further than the Volk, which should be a perfect option when paired with the newly buffed snipers. For the SMGs, perhaps the only “broken” option right now would be the Vanguard PPSh-41. Despite receiving big nerfs early in the new season, Armaguerra 43, H4 Blixen and Marco 5 all remain strong options.

There are a variety of options in the A Tier that are top tier worthy and generally remain very balanced for use in Warzone. Essentially, these options are just outside of the main meta, but can still get the job done and allow you to be competitive. A good sign at the moment is the fact that there are a whopping 19 SMGs making the cut here, including the freshly polished P90.

B level

These B-Tier weapons remain viable in Season 4 Reloaded, but could all use some buffs to get more players seriously considering mastering them. Overall, these weapons are okay, but have nothing that makes them stand out as fun or exciting uses. Many of these are still fairly popular, but not as solid statistically as compared to the weapons above. After initially attracting attention with its laser rifle characteristics, the EX1 seems more like a casual gimmick pistol than a melting machine.

C level

The C tier includes weapons that could definitely use a buff in Warzone. Looking at the list of options here, there just aren’t any inspirational names worth grabbing in a custom loadout drop at the moment.

D level

At this point in the rankings, these weapons have no place in the meta at all. While the higher end of this tier might be okay for players to still somehow get a kill or two, towards the end of the list it gets pretty awful. Unfortunately, the new Valois revolver slipped down here because it simply did not prove to be optimal in terms of performance. Unfortunately, in contrast to the P90, the equipment of the Striker 45 is still not worth it at all.
