‘We have Super Tommy Tuchel!’: Angry Chelsea fans chant name of ex-boss who lost to Man City

Chelsea fans showed their dissatisfaction with manager Graham Potter on Sunday when they chanted the name of his predecessor Thomas Tuchel during their FA Cup game against Manchester City.

The Blues lost 4-0 at the Etihad after a lackluster performance as Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez came on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Potter’s men have now won just two of their last nine in all competitions and have slipped to 10th place in the Premier League.

There were also wry shouts of ‘we’ve had a shot’ after a rare shot on goal as the west London side struggled to gain a foothold against an excellent City side.

Potter’s tenure got off to a promising start, winning five straight games from early October, but things have gone from bad to worse since Chelsea lost 4-1 to former side Brighton three months ago.

Alan Shearer was heavily critical of Chelsea in relation to the BBC’s coverage of the game as he said their performance was “unacceptable”. I don’t care how many injuries you have on your team, you can still put in a shift and they can’t.
