Primal Reversion, a game mechanic introduced in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, will be coming to Pokémon GO during this year’s Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn, Niantic announced yesterday.
It has been revealed that Archetypes of Generation III Legendaries, Groudon and Kyogre, will be available to undergo this transformation to enhance combat abilities and appearance.
In Pokémon GO, this feature will manifest itself a little differently than in the games mentioned above. Groudon and Kyogre caught during Primal Raids, which take place at set times and work similar to normal Raid Battles, can use Primal Reversion for new bonuses.
It’s worth noting that these Primal Raids are exclusive to those who have Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn tickets, and players without these tickets will not be able to access Primal Kyogre and Groudon for now.

While Primal Reversion for Groudon offers players these benefits:
Primal Groudon and Kyogre remain in their primal form for only eight hours, after which they revert to their original form. But Primal Reversion can be used as long as the player has Primal Energy.

The Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Las Vegas begins February 18 and ends February 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT.
