Will Fortnite die in 2023? No, the number of players says something else

As dissatisfaction with Fortnite WILDS mounts, some fans have reported that Fortnite will die in 2023. Well, the player count says otherwise.
Since the launch of Fortnite in 2017, Battle Royale has been one of the most popular video games out there. Although some of the initial hype has died down, Epic Games continues to introduce new features, game modes and crossovers to keep the game at its highest level, such as Fortnite Creative 2.0 and the Zero Build mode.
Fortnite WILDS might not be anyone’s favorite season, but that doesn’t mean fans are staying away from the game.

Fortnite isn’t dying in 2023, and player count proves it. Accordingly ActivePlayerIn the last 30 days alone, 237,524,910 people have played Fortnite. Fortnite WILDS might be an unpopular season, but fans still want to dive into the Battle Royale and try to earn a Victory Royale.
The exaggerated claims that Fortnite is dying could be due to the slight drop in player count from January 2023 to the present. At the beginning of the year, the average number of players was 252,600,145 people. Although the number has declined over the year, staying at around 230,000,000 players per month is no small feat.
With Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 promising new POIs, weapons, collaborations and maybe even a visit to the moon, Fortnite’s player count will likely exceed the average Fortnite WILDS total.
How can Fortnite die when there are blockbuster collaborations in every major update? In Fortnite WILDS alone, Epic Games brought in Futurama characters, WWE’s Optimus Prime, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair, as well as everyone’s favorite wizards from Jujutsu Kaisen.
The mainstream additions to Fortnite not only excite the Fortnite community, but also open up new insights into the Battle Royale for outside viewers. New rumors are even suggesting that the v27.00 Fortnite update will feature a huge LEGO collaboration that will have as much content as a full Fortnite season.
Plus, fans are still waiting for the highly anticipated Doctor Who crossover to finally arrive in Fortnite. Perhaps in Chapter 5, players will finally be able to take a journey in the TARDIS.
