Will there be a Kingdom Hearts 4? Fans of Kingdom Hearts 3 (and the rest of the gargantuan series) are understandably excited to see their beloved saga continue to unfold. Let’s take a look at the odds of another Kingdom Hearts game being released.

Will there be a Kingdom Hearts 4?

Just to anticipate this right away: Spoilers for Kingdom Hearts 3 ahead. you have been warned

Based on the Kingdom Hearts 3 ending, it would be pretty hard to believe that a follow-up wasn’t in the works. Sora going missing and then waking up in a new town seems like a pretty classic sequel, and there are plenty of other storylines to tie into another game.

Square Enix hasn’t announced a Kingdom Hearts 4, but that might as well be because the title will be one of the series’ hilariously convoluted ones rather than a direct sequel. (Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, we’re looking at you.)

Square also has significant financial incentive to continue the series, as Kingdom Hearts seems to be selling well despite all the hype surrounding its release.

As a result, chances are that another Kingdom Hearts game is likely to be released. Hopefully it doesn’t take another decade.
