No, UFC 5 will not be released on PS4. Unfortunately, UFC 5 is only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for all current-gen users.
In an exclusive interview with DexertoUFC 5 developer Nate McDonald revealed the reasons behind releasing the game only on next-gen consoles.
“The main reason for this is that the team really wanted to focus on making the UFC 5 experience the best possible experience.” [next] “Generation consoles,” McDonald explained, “so players can experience the truly hyper-realistic character representations, facial movements of their favorite fighters, and next-level environmental fidelity.” And the highest resolution possible.”
In other words, the game was developed specifically for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and will therefore not be released for PlayStation 4.
No, UFC 5 does not support cross-play or cross-progression. Players on PlayStation 5 cannot play with their friends on Xbox Series X|S. They also cannot continue their progress from one platform to another.
Without crossplay, players will be limited to who they can play UFC 5 with on launch day.
UFC 5 launches on Friday, October 27, 2023. Those who pre-ordered the game can now pre-load UFC 5 on either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, so you can get started as soon as it goes live.
