Will UFC 5 come to Xbox One?

As release day approaches for EA Sports’ latest title, MMA fans want to know if UFC 5 will be coming to Xbox One.

After waiting three years for the next installment in the UFC franchise, players can return to the Octagon once again in a new game packed with updated modes, graphics and fighters. From familiar newcomers like Conor McGregor to the best in the world, Islam Makhachev, UFC 5 features a full roster of MMA superstars ready to step into the cage on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

So will UFC 5 come to Xbox One in the future?

No, UFC 5 will not be available on Xbox One. EA Sports’ upcoming release is only available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Nate McDonald, a member of the UFC 5 team, revealed the thought process behind the decision to exclude the game from current generation consoles.

“We just wanted to be sure [that] “Overall, the team has been fully focused on where we believe the future of the UFC product and console generation is headed,” McDonald said explained Dexerto.

He also explained that the game was specifically designed so that players on next-gen consoles can “experience the truly hyper-realistic character representations, facial movements of their favorite fighters, and next-level environmental fidelity. And the highest possible resolution.”

UFC 5’s graphics and gameplay are simply not compatible with the limitations of Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Yes, you can preload UFC 5 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The massive download will take quite a long time to load onto your console. So loading the game a day early guarantees that it will be ready by the time of release.

UFC 5 will be released on Friday, October 27th at midnight local time. Fans wanting early access to the title must either be EA Play subscribers or pre-order the UFC 5 Deluxe Edition.
