A woman was mauled and nearly had her arm severed by her pet Rottweiler in a horrific, bloody hour-long ordeal after she fed her pet a THC gum.
The unidentified pet owner from Gaylord, Michigan was covered in “extreme” amounts of blood after Blau, who ate the cannabis gum, knocked her off her toilet seat on October 5.
Blue, the 3-year-old, 82-pound Rottweiler, attacked his owner and then ran through the house after the woman locked herself in the bedroom.
She had to be flown to hospital for her wounds – and the victim’s father told officers she had been going through a bad divorce and the dog was “very stressed”.
So he bought the dog some gummy candies to calm him down.

Animal control workers rushed to the Michigan home and found the Rottweiler standing by a window and roaming the property.
At this point the dog was “overwhelmed” and was able to be restrained by the officers using a “catch rod”.
The shocking incident report from Otsego County Animal Control & Shelter was obtained by Smoking gun – and described the bloody situation in detail.
Responders saw “a lot of blood on the living room carpet” and in the hallway there was “huge amounts of blood on the floor and walls,” Officer Melissa Fitzgerald noted.
She noted that the victim was “lying face up on the bed covered in blood.”
The woman was unable to get up after her dog attacked her, and there were large amounts of blood on the bed “as well as on the walls and floors.”
Emergency responders eventually flew the woman to Traverse City, 60 miles away, where she was taken to the intensive care unit and underwent emergency surgery.
According to the report, the victim’s sister said the woman almost lost her right arm and “there’s not much left of the area between her shoulder and her elbow.”
After a week in the hospital, the woman was finally released – and she signed the euthanasia form to humanely kill the dog.
At first, her estranged husband asked if he could rehabilitate Blue, but later he changed his mind and asked if he could shoot it himself.
The officer told him that this was illegal.
On October 17, the Rottweiler was euthanized after the injured woman and her parents said “goodbye” to Blau.
