Worker injured when forklift rolls over in South Townsville

A man has been taken to hospital with multiple injuries after a forklift he was operating rolled onto a construction site in North Queensland.

The man, aged in his 30s, was driving a forklift at a dispatch site in south Townsville at 10.40am on Monday morning when the accident occurred.

He suffered head, chest and abdominal injuries in the rollover.

The man was taken from the Hubert Street factory to Townsville University Hospital.

His condition is believed to be stable.
