World Cup: Karim Benzema is “outraged” by France coach Didier Deschamps

Karim Benzema is “angry” at Didier Deschamps after he was “sent home” by the French coach after his injury but only required “THREE” days of treatment… as the striker “NOT” plans to go to the World Cup final

Karim Benzema is reportedly furious with France coach Didier Deschamps and has no plans to fly to Qatar for the World Cup final.

The Real Madrid forward was ruled out of the tournament before it even started after suffering a hamstring injury in his first training session in Doha.

Spanish publication Libertad Digital have claimed Benzema is unhappy with the treatment he received from Deschamps, who are said to have sent the striker home after his injury, and has angered the Ballon d’Or winner with his comments in a press conference.

Benzema reportedly required just three days of treatment at Real Madrid’s training center before going on holiday and has already recovered from the injury.

Deschamps seemed upset when asked if Benzema could feature in Sunday’s final against Argentina.

He closed his eyes and puffed out his cheeks before saying, “I don’t really want to answer that question,” and smiled as he quickly said, “Next question.”

Benzema is said to have no intention of going to the Qatar final, although he is still a registered member of the squad and would be world champions if France retained their 2018 trophy.

Part of his frustration with Deschamps is that he reportedly didn’t leave camp of his own free will and was “sent off” by the manager.

After seeing Benzema not recovering from his muscle ailments, Deschamps reportedly held him down: “Too bad Karim you have to go.”

The 34-year-old felt Deschamps didn’t want him and got the news.

After suffering the injury, it felt like he could miss three weeks of action.

However, Benzema is already back in training and played a friendly for Real Madrid against Leganes on Thursday and had ‘no physical problems’ during the game.

As reported by El ChiringuitoBenzema took part in the game which ended in a 1-1 draw, with German midfielder Toni Kroos scoring for Los Blancos.

If France called up Benzema for the final, Real Madrid wouldn’t stop their star from leaving.

Deschamps was asked about Benzema again in the group stage and also smashed the question away.

‘Wow. Well, I’m not sure [what to say], that’s really not something I think about,” he said at the time. “You seem to know a lot about the situation, but I haven’t really followed who said what.”

However, despite the absence, France managed to pull themselves together and win all but one of their games – that was a 1-0 loss to Tunisia in the group stage.

On Sunday they will try to win back-to-back World Cups while Lionel Messi and Argentina try to snatch the trophy from them.
