WWE understands that MJF has “quietly re-signed” and AEW is putting an end to his potential big-money free agency in 2024

MJF has reportedly “quietly” signed a deal with AEW through 2027, according to WWE sources.
The ROH World Tag-Team Champion – whose name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman – has reportedly had “no discussions” with WWE House of Wrestling.
Sources have claimed that the idea of MJF hitting free agency soon is a “false narrative” and “a plot entirely in his head.”
One person also added: “1000%.” ”I was told a while ago he has a long-term contract which is why they stopped pushing the 2024 stuff.”
In August, MJF defended his AEW World Championship against his tag team partner Adam Cole in a Best Friends Match at Wembley Stadium in front of over 81,000 spectators.

The pair began the match by putting on their tag team t-shirts, doing friendship chain wrestling and even shaking hands. But after one MJF moment, all bets were off.
The game originally ended in a draw after a double final line – ironically – wiped out both men and resulted in them pinning each other.
Cole urged MJF to play for another five minutes, to which the champion replied: “Five minutes isn’t enough, Adam. ‘We’ll keep going until we have a winner at bloody Wembley.’
When Cole turned down the chance to use a belt given to him by Roddy Strong, MJF took the opportunity to roll up the challenger and retain his world title.
Elsewhere in the WWE world, Survivor Series could see the return of multiple world champion CM Punk as part of Cody Rhodes’ team during the men’s War Games match.
